I hail from Colombia, where I completed high school. However, I soon realized that it wouldn't be sufficient to pursue higher education in Germany. In Colombia, I discovered the Studienkolleg, a specialized college for foreigners.
Before entering Studienkolleg, I needed to attain a B2 proficiency level in the German language. It was crucial to prepare for this requirement. After diligent efforts, I managed to reach the necessary language proficiency.
Studienkolleg comprised two semesters (although some programs require only one). Upon completion, I faced three challenging exams. Success in these exams would open the door to university education. It's worth noting that Studienkolleg offers various courses tailored to specific fields of study.
As someone aspiring to study design, I enrolled in the "G Kurs." Those interested in engineering pursue the "T Kurs." While the journey was demanding, it's important to remember that anyone can achieve this goal with determination and perseverance.
Studying in Germany as a foreigner requires dedication, hard work, and overcoming obstacles. But the opportunity for personal and academic growth is immeasurable. By pursuing the Studienkolleg path, I have taken a significant step closer to realizing my dream of studying design at a German university.
Remember, the path may not be easy, but with determination and the right support, anyone can reach their educational goals in Germany.
