most, by most i mean all of them except for one, of my platy fish are sunset wagtail platys. in german, they're also known as "deutschland platys", the reason being that their coloration resemble the colors of a german flag – black, red and gold. they were all born and raised in my fish room.

my platys love to eat. a lot. they seem to be hungry most of the time. some of them even eat gravel when i don't feed them on time. i usually feed them fish food but also like to spoil them from time to time. they really love eating shrimp, brine shrimp, live white mosquito larvae, broccoli, spinach, squid, blue berries, live micro crickets and most of all – brussel sprouts!!

i have a lot of fish (not sure how many exactly – maybe around 50?) so the answer is no. however, some of them have unique characteristics which allows me to tell them apart from the others. for example i have a platy that has a red dot on her belly, another one that is quite chubby and then there is quasimodo. she has scleriosis since she was born but it doesn't seem to bother her at all! furthermore, almost all of them have slightly different colorations and body shapes.

whenever i come past my tanks, my fish always get very excited. they always "follow me" or swim to the top. whenever someone else enters the room, they immediately go into hiding and don't come out before checking if that person is a threat to them. some people might say that they solely recognize me as a "god of food" and that they're solely asking for more food. however, i'd like to believe that they also are happy to see me and it's their way of saying "hi". but in the end, i guess we'll never know.
