Taizé is a monastery in Département Saône-et-Loire, France.

In June 2026 I spent a week going to prayers and got welcomed into the Taizé community. Surrounded by so many different ethnicities, I felt inspired to capture my favorite moments on camera.

The photographs show the church of Taizé, named Église de la Réconciliation. It's not as big and ostentatious as we're used to from Catholic churches all around Europe but more modest and simple, which doesn't mean it's less pretty. The atmosphere inside is very calming and safe, which I tried to capture in my photos, as well as I wanted to show the interesting architecture that was used.

My focus was on embracing the light and how it is coloring the architecture itself.

I used to paint with acrylics a lot when I was younger, but my paintings were always inspired by something I had seen or read or watched. I tended to copy styles until I could find my own years later.

The paintings you can see here are fully from my imagination and a style that feels truly like myself. I was geared to nature and specific colors. I always use green, blue, pink, brown, yellow, and red. In the end I add details with a black ink pen to imitate nature's fragile beauty.

This series is a collection of several illustrations of the German play "Leonce und Lena" by Georg Büchner.

I tried to capture Büchner's odd comedy by illustrating it very literally to the words he used. For example, it says, "The boy has the winter in his heart and the spring on his cheeks."

To get the effect of watercolors in the background, I mixed ink pen on paper with editing it on the tablet afterwards. With ProCreate, I experimented until I liked the way it reminds me of a dream because the whole play feels like reading a crazy dream.

With time I had to admit that I got too used to drawing and sketching the same things and barely allowing myself to explore out of the ordinary. Therefore, I decided to find new materials I normally don't use as much to challenge myself and hopefully find joy in having my work turn out unexpectedly.

That's when my series "Breaking Out" came into being. I used watercolors and a real ink pen nib.
