+ My favorite Song of the week:

“The Hurdy Gurdy Man” by the Butthole Surfers. Don't judge a song by its band, right? There's just something about this song. But just give it a listen yourself. And if you can, please listen to it all the way through.

+ The meaning behind 200yen:

200yen was once the name of a club my father ran.

My father was a known DJ in my hometown Nuernberg when he was young. He nearly played in every club in the city. At some point, he wanted to open his own club because he’d built up a fan base. Everything went smoothly for a few months until a brewery screwed him over. He had to close the club and struggled heavily with debt. That club was a labor of love. So that the name can somehow live on and not be completely forgotten, I’m continuing to use it. I can’t really afford a club right now, which is why I have to start with this website for the time being.

+ It will always be me and my bike:

I love sports! Besides rowing, I bike an unhealty lot. Not a racing bike or even a gravel bike. Just a plain old city bike. I ride my bike everywhere. I actually like walking quite a bit, too, but when I have to take public transit, that’s when the fun stops. I really much prefer biking. Above all, you’re so much faster than with the VAG or even the DBha! I love my bike so much that I’ve even pimped it out. My pedals are pink, and I have a warning triangle sticker stuck to the front of the handlebars. So that everybody knows when I'm there. I don’t have a bell. I don’t need one. I like to create a surprise effect when I ride by.
