My First Workshop for Young Artists

/How I've got the Opportiunity to teach others from my experience

In August, I’ll be hosting my first-ever workshop for teenagers and young adults, sharing my passion for illustration and creative strategies. From sketching techniques to finding inspiration, I want to help young artists overcome creative blocks and develop confidence in their skills. It’s exciting (and a bit nerve-wracking) to be on the teaching side for the first time - Curious to see how it goes!

Why I Chose Design

/My Opinion about choosing a creative direction in Education, after stugying at a design focused school

Attending Vocational High School in Design was supposed to fuel my creativity, but instead, it almost drained it. Strict guidelines, repetitive tasks, and the constand comparison and competition made me question my passion for art and overall creating. So how did I end up studying Design after all? I am lucky that my personal intrest in design peaked after school, that's how I commited to design!

How My Art Found Its Way to the Public

/A Journey from scribbling into my school-books to exhibting my works

Exhibiting my artwork alongside other young artists was an incredible experience. Seeing my work on display, where people could engage with it, made me realize how art connects us. But how did it all happen? I learned from the process and overcame the terrifying aspect of putting your work out there, but in th end it was hugely rewarding.

Q & A

Which tools/programs do you use the most?

I mostly use Procreate, because it’s the program I started digital drawing with years ago. And I usually stick to the standard brushes!

What has been your favorite project at university so far – and why?

I think I actually have two favorites that are neck-and-neck. Both were second semester assignments from CGO and DX. They really pushed me to try new and unfamiliar things, and I ended up learning a lot. The results just make me genuinely happy :3

Do you listen to music while drawing? If so, what?

Yes, absolutely! Sometimes I’ll put on a podcast too, but I’m also very proud of my /playlist-vault on Spotify. If you’re curious, feel free to check them out!

What would you tell your younger self in the first semester?

Even though some semesters will be incredibly stressful, you’ll make it through and you can be proud of yourself in the end!
