My first commission ... in Morocco

Suddenly I'm swallowed by the most beautiful sight, sinking my toes into the sand to make sure it's real: Sunsets, the sea and colours. Everywhere.

Welcome to Aghroud.

My best friend took me to Morocco, where I was asked if I would paint a mural on one of the houses. It was a challenge for me, and I painted for an entire day.

The best part was when tourists came by while I was drawing and asked me questions in different languages. I received so many kind words and compliments!

It was a great experience! I got to know a new culture and met wonderful people ... and I fell in love with the ocean.

Blown away in London

This charming little gentleman on the right side is Mr. Mortimer. My older sister crocheted him, and he has traveled with her ever since.

So, together we went on a five-day trip to London, after which I stayed in England for another two and a half weeks.

Art, sculptures, ornaments, colorful front doors, parks, museums and markets on every corner.

My favorite, though, was the musical "Les Misérables". Magnificcent! Excellent vocals and an incredibly moving performance :)

Even Mortimer was blown away. Quite literally: It's rather windy in February.

Books »à la« Aix-en-Provence

The color blue is beautiful. However, the sky in Aix-en-Provence is something different!

I spent 7 days in the small town, and even on my last day I managed to get lost in its lovely, meandering streets.

However, I succeeded! Not only did I navigate my way into beautiful museums—including the exhibition about the artist Paul Cécanne—but I also discovered two amazing bookshops:

"Book In Bar" won me over with its vast language selection and cozy atmosphere. Readers are welcome to enjoy a good book while drinking coffee or tea.

And for all Harry Potter fans: L'Antre de Calliopée!
