What's New?

If I'm being honest, I'm not sure what to write here. They told me I should treat it like a diary. However, that doesn't feel quite right to me. A proper diary should be a nice notebook and not whatever this is (I've told them as much and all I got as a response was an amused chuckle). Regardless, I thought it would be nice to write down some of my recipes for once.

I present: Cafe Soul's very own and truly unoriginal Hot Cocoa!

Ingredients Instructions
  1. In a large saucepan on medium low heat, heat up milk
  2. Add cocoa powder and sugar; combine until there are no lumps
  3. Add vanilla extract and a pinch of salt
  4. Serve in a lovely mug and top with whipped cream

This place is unusual to say the least. Time seems to fly differently here or rather not at all? They provided me with groceries and no matter how much time "passes" they do not go bad, they've been as fresh as on the day I arrived here.

My appearance also doesn't seem to deteriorate. My hair didn't grow an inch nor did my fingernails. It is as if the very concept of time just doesn't exist.

I would assume that this is some faction outside of Elysium Inc.'s doing, for I cannot fathom that they would even remotely want to aid me in my cause.

Who else could possess this much sway over the In-between besides Elysium Inc. themselves?

Someone passed right before her and her lover's anniversary.

She just left, after finishing her cup of coffee, with a somewhat forlorn expression on her face. I had a lovely chat with her, albeit one with a rather bitter aftertaste to it. I hope I was able to lift some of her woes, though.

You would think I'd be used to these types tragedies by now, being exposed to them on a daily (I know, ha-ha). In this specific instance, however, it struck a nerve.

Maybe it is because I've regained my memories from before not too long ago, or perhaps I simply felt pity for her.

Or maybe I'm just pitying myself
