I recently watched the long-awaited adaptation of one of my favorite manga,
Chainsaw Man. It honestly felt like a dream come true
to finally see this story brought to life on screen. To be completely honest, I didn’t expect to enjoy it as
much as I did, since I already knew exactly how the story would play out. But somehow, by the end, I still found
myself shedding a tear.
Spoken dialogue and music really add so much depth, they made moments hit in ways the manga
just couldn’t. And those fight scenes? Absolutely incredible. You simply can’t capture that kind of energy on
paper. I’ve waited three years for this movie, and it was truly worth every second.
One Battle After Another
I went into this movie knowing absolutely nothing, except that Leonardo DiCaprio was in it. I’d heard a few
people mention that the
trailer looked really weird, but I usually avoid
trailers anyway. In my opinion, they often spoil too much of the story, and in this case, I’m so glad I didn’t
watch it.
Going in blind meant I had zero expectations, and that made the experience even better. The movie had me
laughing one moment and sitting on the edge of my seat the next. It was intense, unpredictable, and incredibly
rewarding to watch. The way the story took such a sharp, unexpected turn was brilliant.
All in all, it was a fantastic film, and now I definitely want to check out more from this director!
Arrival
One night while scrolling through Netflix, I stumbled across this movie completely by chance. I’m not sure what
made me click on it. Maybe it was the strange floating pod on the thumbnail, but curiosity got the best of me. I
quickly checked the ratings, thought “why not,” and hit play.
What I didn’t expect was how emotionally wrecked I’d be by the end. Within the first minute, a hauntingly
beautiful instrumental started playing, already tugging at my heartstrings. That’s when I knew I was in for
something special.
The visuals were breathtaking and reminded me a lot of Interstellar. The ending completely caught me off guard.
It was so profound and so clever that it made me love the movie even more. Honestly, I can’t believe I hadn’t
seen it sooner. Such an underrated gem!
