For this project in Illustration, we were tasked with creating a graphical, text-free Christmas card. The idea was to design something visually striking and then print 15 copies using a Risograph. This project was particularly exciting for me because it was my first time working with a Risograph, and I really enjoyed experimenting with its unique colors and textures.
These early sketches formed the basis for the final Christmas card designs. I combined the two ideas and incorporated an extra pattern inspired by gift wrapping.
After extensive experimentation and approximately 20 iterations, I arrived at two final templates. The final design was printed twice on DIN A3 sheets, then carefully trimmed to DIN A5 cards. When folded, the cards become DIN A6.
