Würzburg

06.04-07.04.2023

After a rather short train ride, my partner and I arrived in Würzburg. First things first, we headed straight to Hans im Glück, this fantastic burger joint that serves up the most incredible vegan burgers. And let me tell you, their bluberry limo was out of this world! We slurped it down like there was no tomorrow.

Now, Würzburg is a city that knows how to rock the old vibes. It's got more historic buildings and churches than you can count! Our inner history buffs were jumping with joy. We wasted no time and hiked up the hill to check out the castle. Yeah, it was a bit of a workout with all those steps, but when we reached the top, our jaws dropped. The view was straight-up breathtaking, like something out of a fairytale.

Okay, time for a little break and a sweet treat! We stumbled upon this spot serving the most delectable ice cream ever. I mean, seriously, every spoonful was like pure heaven melting in our mouths. It was exactly what we needed to keep exploring.

Now, picture this: it's nighttime, and the city is all lit up. We decided to take a leisurely walk through the streets, just soaking in the magical vibes. We grabbed ourselves some dürüm to munch on (because, why not?) and hiked up to the castle hill. The view from up there was something else, my friend. Würzburg by night was like a sparkling wonderland, and we were the lucky ones to witness it.

The next day, we were on a mission to uncover more gems. First stop: the beautiful gardens. We strolled through those lush paths, taking in the vibrant colors and peaceful surroundings. But hey, we couldn't resist the lure of art either! We checked out this museum all about "konkrete Kunst." And let me tell you, this friendly security lady recommended getting the audio guides, and boy, was she right! Those guides brought the paintings to life, and suddenly, we were art connoisseurs.

As the sun started to set, our taste buds demanded attention. We answered the call with a mouthwatering pizza that hit all the right spots. It was the perfect way to end our time in Würzburg, with our bellies happy and our hearts full of memories. With a tinge of sadness, we said our goodbyes to this incredible city and made our way back home, already dreaming of our next adventure.
