But those terms matter \u2013 especially for success-stories like viral videos and infotainment. Well-designed internet videos are landmarks within a \u2013 maybe the most \u2013 popular environment in which claims and profits are freshly distributed on a weekly and monthly basis.<\/p>\n<p>Condensed overview (more details within the study program):<\/p>\n<p>Internet videos are much more than cats, owls or shaky cellphone videos of spills and mishaps.<\/p>\n<p>Well-designed videos speak to people \u2013 like a good ad., and sometimes the viewers answer \u2013 with a like, a comment, or \u2026<\/p>\n<div class=\"mce_button\">\n<p><a href=\"\/cast\/\">Read more\u00a0about Cast in german language<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3><a name=\"cgi\"><\/a>Computer-Generated Imaging<\/h3>\n<p>CGI, computer-generated imaging, is a newly developed technology for generating pictures, mostly in reference to photographical images. CGI offers the chance of exploring whole new image universes and to depict abstract content, ideas and visions. This method of photo-realistic visualization offers possibilities never previously conceived of. It combines classical photography with new 3D-representation methods. It is not about competing with the photography medium, but rather to enhance or even improve this medium. CGI is the future whenever visualizing 3D-data or abstract image ideas. Even today CGI influences advertising communications and shows additional potential within the applied as well as artistic fields for the future.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mce_button\">\n<p><a href=\"\/cgi\/\">Read more about CGI in german language<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3><a name=\"cgo\"><\/a>Computer Generated Object Design<\/h3>\n<p>Computer Generated Object Design (CGO) deals with the design of things and products of very different types, sizes and impressions.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore\u00a0working with computer plays a key role: It opens up new creative possibilities for concepts, shapes, designs and constructions and allows\u00a0important exchange with neighbouring areas. It also enables us to materialise objects easily \u2013 models, prototypes as well as serial products.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mce_button\">\n<p><a href=\"\/cgo\/\">Read more about CGO in german language<\/a><\/p>\n<h3><a name=\"digital-experience\"><\/a>Digital experience design<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Websites, Apps, Games &#8211; Digital Experiences<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Digital interfaces are expanding into all areas of our lives, whether at work, in business, culture or medicine. We communicate with them not only via touchscreens, displays and keyboards, but also with speech, haptics and gestures. What is increasingly crucial, however, is what happens behind the visible and audible: Complex processing of large amounts of data, networked algorithms and &#8220;artificial&#8221; intelligence.<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, designers are not responsible for digital technology in the first place. They are responsible for the human beings at the center of their design efforts. They aim for intuitive, human, task-oriented, helpful user experiences, often entertaining and immersive: Digital Experiences.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mce_button\">\n<p><a href=\"\/dx\/\">Read more about Digital experience design in german language<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3><a name=\"film\"><\/a>Film &amp; animation<\/h3>\n<p>The approach of the FILM &amp; ANIMATION Department in Nuremberg, led by Professor J\u00fcrgen Schopper, is decidedly workplace oriented.\u00a0A special emphasis is placed on filmmaking and storytelling that is appreciative of its past as well as its future in the realm of digital imagery.<\/p>\n<p>Students participate in various projects and create narrative short films, music videos, commercials, motion graphics, and complete purely experimental and mock assignments.<\/p>\n<p>Each of these sub-genres has specific requirements and in turn offers unique design possibilities, which we will introduce over the course of study with the help of examples. Students are expected to apply these principles at all stages of the creative process&#8217; during concept development and the creation of storyboards and animatics, during physical production and postproduction, including editing, color grading, music and sound mixing.<br \/>\nPreparing presentations and developing sales strategies, as well as taking on all production management responsibilities of an entire project from start to finish are also part of the scope of this program.<\/p>\n<p>The theoretical part of the program will cover all historical, design and technical aspects of film.\u00a0Students will receive an overview of film history and of all aspects of production, including an introduction to the pertinent occupations and areas of responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>All technical aspects will be covered over the course of study, which will trace the development of film production from their earliest beginnings to today, the age of digital imagery.<\/p>\n<p>Numerous workshops and screenings round out the educational offerings.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mce_button\">\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/fa.ohmrolle.de\">Read more about Film &amp; animation in german language<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3><a name=\"photography\"><\/a>Photography<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Taking a picture \u2260 Snapping pictures<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Photography \u2260 Picture<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Within our curriculum students will learn that professional photography is mostly considered working with a medium: Photography as the confrontation with the results of this medium-usage.<\/p>\n<p>Both are strongly connected with the dimension of sight and covers the whole spectrum from depicting the subjective perception and the interpretable to sensing for others to finally transforming it to a certain picture quality. The interpretation of a situation, the exact condition, the search for sensing the definite picture-shot opens a way from taking pictures to visualized emotion.<\/p>\n<p>Being able to discuss picture quality inherits the need for knowledge about the evaluation criteria.<\/p>\n<p>Considering this point, our study concept picks up on specific, media influenced perceptual processes and sharpen those via targeted topic discussions. Therefore an illustrator has not only to reflect reality, but creates a whole new, own and unique point of view towards the topic.<\/p>\n<p>Illustrations are used within print media, advertising, digital and interactive media, animations and 3D-movies as well as picture books, academic books and graphic novels. The field of illustration and its methods to express itself are as manifold as there are illustrators creating those worlds of pictures.<\/p>\n<p>Within the illustration module students will not only learn the technological and intellectual basics of illustration but they will also gain a platform to find their personal visual language. How do images work? What is the difference between advertising and artistic images? What makes an image beautiful, what makes it ugly? Why do we view\u00a0photographs and paintings differently? Why do images speak differently\u00a0\u00a0than words? Und how do images influence the way we recognise\u00a0the world?<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the other individual modules image sciences opens up a theoretical\u00a0perspective on visual topics. We focus on introducing\u00a0the students to\u00a0discussions on\u00a0thinking and perceiving from the\u00a0fields of fine\u00a0art, advertisement and visual design.<\/p>\n<p>On the way students get to know and use\u00a0different methods to analyse images (iconography, semiotics, aesthetics of perception, i.a.).
